Porcupine Hills

Postby Tracker on Thu Mar 05, 2009 12:08 pm

Had a little day trip on Tuesday to the Porcupine Hills. Still lots of snow anywhere off the main trail in, but I didn't need my chains as long as I went slow. Made it as far as the SABA outhouse and camping area and had to turn back because the trail got worse and I was running out of daylight.

Roughly N49 49.648 W113 57.715 by my GPS unit.

Nice pic, did you go out by youself? The club went out there a few weeks back we made it a ways further but half the group was running tire chains as well. Feel free to post pics of your rig or outings in the Offroad Pics section of the forum if you wish.

Hey, I couldn't add another post to the original for some reason. Yes I was alone, I know that's not always wise but it was a spur of the moment, bored afternoon, kind of thing. Thus the playing it safe part.

Tracker,

Your problem should be resolved for posting. I had a few holes to fix in the forum settings.

Post also merged together.
